THE CHALLENGE
In 2016, Alda Communication Training launched as a for-profit arm to help fund the Alda Center at Stony Brook University. They came to my agency looking for a fresh new look for their online brand.
THE SOLUTION
As the account and project manager, I worked with the Alda team to develop a playful personality for their website that mimics the tone that they set in their workshops. They wanted it beautified and reorganized. Targeting the upcoming release of Alan Alda’s new book outlining the Alda Method, I worked with them on an extremely expedited timeline to turn around a website design that the whole team is excited and energized to launch. After I found the Particle.js javascript library and created the aesthetic for the most effective responsive HTML5 design, I enlisted a web developer in Ukraine to build the site to look and function seamlessly across all platforms. I also worked with the Alda team to reformat their sales form page, to make it more user-friendly.
THE RESULTS
The site launched Jun 1, 2017, as promised to the client, despite such a tight turnaround (I had roughly 4 weeks to make it happen). We went from a dull, standard website to an animated and energetic website, attracting more users and highlighting their offerings more clearly.
TESTIMONIAL
"Ruth, Alan, and I are really thrilled with the site and want to thank you for being brilliant! This whole process was smooth, enjoyable, and really fun!"
