TRUE[X] INTERACTIVE AD EXHIBITION

Case Study

March 2017

San Francisco, California

THE CHALLENGE

During private events, trueX technology demonstrations and ad content were often ignored by guests – despite the fact that their events were centered around them. One dimensional digital displays on computers and tablets were just not cutting it.

THE SOLUTION

I flew out to San Fran for their event and brought the 'choose your own adventure' trueX process to life by allowing guests to physically engage with and experience the technology. For an updated event, my agency and I introduced an interactive, hand gesture-activated installation to their demo space which highlighted the playfulness of their newly-launched ad units. Attendees lined up to demo advertising games with activities ranging from customizing beverage bottles to figuring out which detergent works best for a stain.

THE RESULTS

The interactive installation was trueX's most successful activation at any of their events. Guests were so excited about the technology, that they cycled through multiple ads per turn and often came back to try it out again. While queueing, attendees were interested in seeing how others' experience panned out and watched attentively. Overall, guests were enthusiastically involved, and trueX’s ad units were finally the centerpiece.
